Our welding department has been certified with ISO 3834 level 3 since 2020. The certification allows us to guarantee the welding joints for the parts produced by us.
We issue a document that certifies the correct execution, the traceability of the raw material and other processing parameters.
Therefore, the quality of our welding is guaranteed through the continuous training of operators (with the relevant licenses), the company know-how and the certified process.
The ISO3834 standard
The ISO3834 is a process standard and not a product standard. Therefore, it does not directly certify the individual piece as happens for example with the EN 1090.
In part, the same standards already present in the ISO9001 standard are recalled. But specifically, it guarantees the traceability of the materials used (semi-finished products, consumables, raw materials). It monitors staff training. It guarantees the maintenance of the instruments and machinery, the welding parameters and their control.
The ISO 3834 certification provides 3 levels based on the type of product and therefore the level of monitoring required.
Agrital is currently ISO3834-3 certified for materials in S235JR, S355J2, S700MC and S900MC. With butt or corner welding joint and only with MAG process.
Quality control
The quality office is also certified to perform non-destructive tests: visual (VT), with penetrant liquids (PT), with magnetic particle (or electromagnetic yoke, MT). We also perform leak tests (bubble test) for hydraulic tanks.
